Most dehumidifiers contain Freon. This item would need to be taken to the Lanchester landfill for Freon removal and recycling. There is a $20 charge.

Only if it is cardboard and has NO signs of food/grease. Sometimes it is just the top of the box that can be recycled.
Refrigerators and Freezers must have the Freon or Refrigerant removed from them professionally (usually by an HVAC or appliance company). The professional will mark it with a special certification sticker. One it is stickered, it may be set out for Bulk Trash day.
